Our Community Involvement in Toronto

F ront Door Organics feels that businesses have an integral role to play in the communities that support them, communities in which they have a presence, and communities in need. You won't just see our van around town delivering fresh local organic food, you will see us supporting local community events, school fundraisers, the arts and queer communities and giving to those in need whenever we can.

FDO has been donating a Fresh Box to the Anduhyaun Shelter every week since our inception in 1997. Anduhyaun Shelter is the second oldest shelter in Canada providing unique programs and services to Aboriginal women with or without children leaving abusive situations.

We distribute all excess consumable food every week to LAMP Community Health Centre - a multi-service, community based charitable organization that provides a wide range of programs and services to improve a person’s health. They have been serving the South Etobicoke community since 1973. Our weekly food donations are used in their breakfast program run as part of their Early Years Services.

Other organizations we regularly support through cash donations, food donations or sponsorship agreements include but aren't limited to: the Daily Bread Food Bank; Foodshare; Toronto Vegetarian Association; Second Harvest; Sho Mo and the Monkey Bunch; the Lab Cab Theatre Festival; Inside Out; Pride Toronto and various Toronto Schools.
